Abstract:

This video was broadcasted on Wednesday, 18 January 2012, in the local TV station "Padang TV". RUPES Indonesia coordinator, Mr Rachman Pasha, was interviewed during the RUPES West Sumatra Workshop that was held on 18 January at Pangeran Beach Hotel, Padang. Rachman explained the World Agroforestry Centre's activities in West Sumatra, especially those of the RUPES project. The Centre has been actively engaged in environmental services since 2004. In December 2011, the RUPES program ended. RUPES staff had carried out many activities over the seven years around Lake Singkarak. Perhaps the most notable was the development of a voluntary carbon market in Nagari Paninggahan.
