
RUPES Program Coordinator
Meet our RUPES Program Coordinator, Leimona, who joined the World Agroforestry Centre - Southeast Asia (ICRAF-SEA) in January 2002. She worked as RUPES Project Officer for almost 5 years before being assigned as the RUPES Program Manager taking care of daily operations of RUPES activities under the direction of RUPES Project Coordinator. One year before RUPES II proposal was approved for funding by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Lei was appointed the coordinator of the project.
Aresearcher specializing in environmental services and community-based natural resource management issues, Lei has over seven years of experience in natural resource governance and policy, environmental and social impact assessment, training program development, donor program coordination, and institutional capacity strengthening.is experienced in designing, planning, organizing and evaluating multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder activities as well as monitoring and evaluating project performance toward strategic, programmatic and financial objectives.
Her major concern is developing and overseeing pro-poor reward for environmental services initiatives in Asia together with international donor organizations, regional government partners, research and civil society organizations. She applies experimental economics and natural resource governance to analyze and design solutions to enhancing environmental services, poverty alleviation, fairness and efficiency issues of innovative rewards for environmental schemes, including the pro-poor carbon market and climate.
Lei obtained her bachelor and master degrees on Landscape Architecture at Bogor Agricultural University where she serves as a visiting lecture at its Graduate Program. RUPES Socio Economic Researcher
Rachman joined the World Agroforestry Centre - Southeast Asia (ICRAF-SEA) in May 2006 as a Research Assistant for RUPES Project in Sumberjaya, Lampung. In September 2008, he was moved to Bogor for his present new role. Besides doing many research activities, he is also responsible to develop and coordinate links with RUPES Indonesian national network, including government, non-government institutions and universities, strengthen communication between RUPES partners in Indonesia, provide supervision and guidance to ICRAF and partner colleagues in community mobilization and site monitoring, including design, manage and report on the implementation of various site-level researches at the RUPES sites.
Rachman graduated in July 2005 from Bogor Agricultural University majoring in Forest Resources Conservation. He is now pursuing his Master degree at the same university on Environment and Resources Management. You can contact Rachman by email at r.pasha@cgiar.org
RUPES Project Assistant
Irma graduated from Forest Conservation and Ecotourism Department, Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural University. Having interest in forest and environmental issues, she was active in youth organization concerning on environment during her university years. After graduated she keep working in forest related work and since January 2009 joined the World Agroforestry Centre - Southeast Asia (ICRAF-SEA) as the RUPES Project Assistant.
She is based in Bogor, Indonesia. Her responsibility includes managing RUPES Project administration to ensure project activities run smoothly. She is the first person to contact before you visit our office and meeting with the RUPES Project Coordinator or other researches.

RUPES Communication Officer
Fauzi has been a staff at the World Agroforestry Centre - Southeast Asia (ICRAF-SEA) since March 2004. He worked as RUPES Project assistant until January 2007 years before being assigned as RUPES Communication Assistant responsible to coordinate the production of the project’s communication materials.
Starting June 2008, he was assigned as ICRAF Communication Officer. Updating the organization’s website with news and stories from field was one of his main responsibilities. He published Kiprah Agroforestri – a Bahasa Indonesia quarterly newsletter featuring ICRAF Indonesia field research activities and achievements. As the communication staff, Fauzi also worked with the Indonesian media to promote agroforestry.
Deciding to work part-time, in November 2009, Fauzi started his role as the RUPES Communication Officer to help the Program Coordinator implementing the project’s communication activities. One of his tasks is updating the website with news and stories from RUPES research sites. RUPES Administration Assistant
Besides working as the Publication Assistant at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF-SEA), Amel is also a part-time assistant for RUPES project administration. She provides logistical support for RUPES meetings, workshops, or seminars. When needed, she is handy for the project travel administration. She prepares documentation and paper work for the project's purchase and printing order. Interested in database management, Amel helps managing RUPES publication stock and keeps distribution record of the project's printed materials. Amel can help you locating most ICRAF and RUPES publication products provided that you supply her with at least the names of the authors.
