Bookmark and Share |

The latest issue of IFAD Newsletter 'Making a difference in Asia and the Pacific' focuses on adaptation of climate change. Some examples of IFAD’s work on adaptation in the region are presented, including the work of RUPES (Asia) and PRESA (Africa), two research projects on environmental service coordinated by the World Agroforestry Centre under the support of IFAD.

In the article entitled “Increasing farmers’ capacity in climate change mitigation and adaptation: lessons from environmental service reward schemes in Asia and Africa”, Beria Leimona (RUPES), Meine van Noordwijk (World Agroforestry Centre), and Thomas Yatich (PRESA), share their work on establishing a series of action research sites to test rewards for environmental services schemes that can benefit rural livelihoods, reduce poverty and improve the environment.
